In this project we learned how to layer images and how to use many of the different selection tools. The magic wand tool is one of the most important tools used. Its purpose is to select an area all with the same color. The best example is the whale. The whale is made of about four or five different shades of blue, so I was able to select each shade and the entire whale was selected. For other images like the bobcat and the sign the quick select tool was used. By highlighting the entire image, I was able to copy and paste into the new project. For the moon and the clock the elliptical marquee tool was used in order to get a circular selection around the shapes. Just like the other images once the image was highlighted all that was needed was a copy and paste. For the book cover the rectangular marquee tool was used. Similar to the elliptical marquee tool the rectangular tool does the same exact thing except with a rectangle rather than a circle. Finally for the arrow I used the polygonal lasso tool. This tool is used to highlight the edges of straight lined images like the arrow. After the border of the arrow was highlighted I was able to copy and paste into the new project and it was complete.
